Can you help? I want to give Stephen Colbert a 4th Edition Player's Handbook during an episode of The Colbert Report. If you can help make this happen, drop me a line at andy.collins@wizard s.com.

That episode is sooo gonna get TIVO'd by me...

I don't usually watch the Colbert Report but I'll watch that episode.

I'm surprised that Andy has to go through his blog though. I would think that Hasbro's PR department has some contacts he could use. They're a huge corporation and their properties like Transformers and GI Joe are really hot in the entertainment industry right now.

I'll just say that if they do do this episode, they need to do it after June 6, so that people who see the episode can go out and actually find the book in a store.

Wait...didn't Stephen Colbert have an essay in the 30 years of D&D retrospective book that came out a few years ago? Don't they have his contact info from that time?

I'm going to see him in Philly

Next month he is coming out to Philadelphia to cover the Pennsylvania election. I plan on trying to get him to sign my first edition PHB.

Really. Have your PR people talk to his PR people. Thats their point.

That said, Colbert's show is always a little iffy on how he handles things. There is always the chance that the exposure he gives you isn't the kind of exposure he wants.

Besides, didn't he do a bit on 'retiring the dice' in favor of D&D online (or some MMO)? I seem to remember that, and some gibberish about a paladin character...

Of course he can have their (or Hasbro's) PR team contact the Colbert Report or Comedy Central, but by posting it in his blog, we're now all beginning to talk about it.

I definitely think it won't be that hard, I remember Obsidian actually sent him a copy of NWN 2, and he wrote back a letter stating he was going to try and remake his Paladin in it.
