D&D 4E [4E Report] The Second Son (3 players)

That's just it, they were using high initiative and that surprise round to devastating effect, and their massive mobility to minimize the opportunity to attack them. Make no mistake, it hurt when they got attacked, but they really played smart. They found they didn't HAVE to go face-to-face. Of course, when they got stuck face to face, they melted. I think having a defender to establish a front line, or a leader to keep them in the fight would both have made the adventure much, much easier.

I might be running a game at the local gamestore next weekend, and my regular playgroup (scattered around the country) are stunned that I would skip our game (which is just 4E one-shots at the moment) to run for "another group". Fatal Attraction, anyone? :D
