D&D 4E 4e Reskinned for Mecha Combat

A friend of mine told me about an EN World post he saw where someone basically had the idea of reskinning 4e to be mecha combat. Some of the ideas he told me about were leveling up being retooled as "upgrades" while races represented a different manufacturer for your mecha. HP was represented as shielding, with healing surges representing shield power ups and cleric or warlord healing powers as repair drones or something similar. Does anyone know where I can find this post? I would really like to read it as the idea sounds very intriguing.

Wizards, and therefore Hasbro, owns D&D 4th edition. This also means they own the d20 2.0(or whatever it'd be called) system 4th is powered by.

Hasbro owns the Transformers franchise.

There is no Transformers RPG.

GOD DAMN IT HASBRO QUIT DROPPING THE BALL ON THIS.

Thank you very much for the links. That was indeed the post I was looking for. It didn't have as much detail as I had hoped for, but me and my friend are tossing this idea around and I think we are going to develop it further.

Well, they could always do Gobots, though, as Hasbro bought Tonka...

And given that Gobots and Transformers are essentially the same thing, that's good enough, right. ;)

A mecha game with 4e D&D rules would be fun. Instead of designing city streets and forest paths to fight in, you'd be designing whole cities and countrysides to stomp across.
