Has anyone picked this up yet? I'd love to know if its any good as far as the first adventure in the FR? Any details are appreciated.

Thanks.

I have it. Seems to be pretty generic and not tied too tightly to the Realms. I have already found a couple of map issues/confusions. I hope WotC provides some erratta. Anyone else?

I had a chance to read it and the words generic and incomplete came to mind. I'm hoping I can salvage something from it to add to something else. I didn't care for the Pyramid either.

 You had me worried up until you mentioned the Pyramid; if it's anything like that adventure, I'm sold!

I have it. It has a more loose feel than the 3 Heroic modules, which IMO is to its advantage. Rather than a complete the dungeon beginning to end, it is more focussed around foiling a villain's plan and encountering the prophetic ghost. In combination with the FRCG I think this makes for a much more flexible adventure structure.

Overall, I would rate it the best module yet, though I preface that by saying that I found H1 to 3 to be rather dull as they were too strictly formatted to a pure dungeon structure (H2 was the best of the lot).

What's the poster map look like? Any use outside the adventure itself?
There's a generic ruin on one side, and a hollow tower on the other (you're supposed to use dungeon tiles and whatnots to transform the hollow tower into the various Scepter Tower locations). A neat idea, in fact.

Unfortunately, the more I read the adventure, the more dissapointed I become. The environments are boring (one of the dungeons consists almost entirely of bare rooms) and the variety of creatures is thin. This makes the adventure easy to set up with tiles and minis but awfully unfun to play and run.

On top of everything else, there is very little back story, little interaction between the various groups of creatures and just not a whole lot for the players to do other than hack down critters and move from area to area. Color me unimpressed.
