D&D 4E 4e . . . the RIFTSization of D&D!!!

Does this mean that 4e will list homosexuality as a mental illness as well now? Because that was always my favorite* part of Palladium's works.

* When I said "favorite" I meant "hate it to death".

To be fair to Palladium (did I just type that?) homosexuality was considered a mental disorder for most of the twentieth century and was listed as such on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Illness, from which Palladium based their original rulebook info.

What about player 4 who really wanted to play a Super Genius in Heroes Unlimited and ended up getting one shotted by a 1d6 mega damage laser pistol during the badguy's first combat action (of 6).

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but I had to mention a similar Heroes Unlimited story :)
One guy rolled invulnerble in an old game, long ago. Another player hated the fact that guy couldn't be physically harmed. Eventually the invulnerable guy (I-guy) got KO'ed by a mentalist on a beach. So the player has his "hero" grab his KO'ed teammate, stuffs rocks up his butt, ties rocks around his neck, and throws him into the oceans. I-guy's player had to roll up a new guy. It was funny....

and in the 20 some years since then, they've never revised the table, since Palladium was perfect the first time and never needed a 2nd edition...

To be honest, I almost wish they had gone bankrupt. Then maybe someone else could've purchased the property. I'd love to see someone else's take on the setting (sans the horrendous rules).

The copy of the manual they referenced was horribly out of date though.

I got a copy of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, also by Palladium Books, which was published in 1985. Homosexuality is listed as a form of insanity on page 16. But, homosexuality was declassified as a mental illness in 1973. Palladium Books wouldn't even exist for another eight years.

I can't believe the number of people who are making wild speculations and labeling them as fact! Since WotC knows how cool vibro weapons are, and since they are in SWSE, it's obvious they're going to be in 4e. How can you think otherwise???

Dude...vibroweapons are being held back for use with psionic. I want a vibrosaw.

Yeah, KS was like, "I ain't got no plans with a man. This is the 80's and I'm down with the ladies."
