4e Videogame

Has anyone heard anything pseudo-solid about a videogame being based on a 4th edition framework? Job Advertisements, nuggets in corporate documents, slips from staffers...anything? I think we know it must be somewhere in the pipe, if only in talks, and perhaps years away but someone must know something.

No, I haven't heard anything yet. The latest info we have, I believe, is that EA still has the exclusive rights to create D&D games, and that The Rouse had a meeting with them many moons ago, but nothing suggested that there was a concrete D&D project in the pipeline.

Oh, it's ok. I, also, want a 4e game one day. I loved NWN and Baulder's Gate.

AFAIK, EA only have struck a licensing deal for Hasbro games, including Scrabble.

Only Infogrames/Atari have exclusive D&D electronic license. Atari could contract EA to develop D&D videogames but I haven't heard much in the grapevine. Like Atari, EA is also a software publisher having contracted BioWare to develop Dragon: Origins.

But then, it's also a video recorder - just substitute game with recorder.

But don't ask me what a role-playing recorder does.
