4th ed Druid over wizard? Over 3.5 druid?

Let's not forget, the wizard has a lot greater versatility- he chooses 2 daily spells which he can switch between whenever he gains access to new dailies.

The at-will area of effect spells for wizard are just plain better - sure the druid gets versatility and some cool special efffects, but the druid at-will needs to hit and needs to be centered on a target. That's a big difference, as a wiz can hit non-adjacent minions.

On the vs. Wizard I agree there is a versatility vs damage tradeoff.

vs. the 3.5 druid, one advantage is a lack of capabilities: no healing or buffing, and hence no expectation of doing so.

I think a lot of players will find that apealing.
