Merrick translates while trying to catch his breath. He collects his javelin from the remains of the creature.

Then he wonders...is there anything valuable or any clues within the rubble. He signs to Urgan to help him check it out

Aid action to help Shamal

Anyone want to search the body (assuming we will have a moment if the kobolds don't attack us.)

Team Lake

The mercenary resisted Darius' attempt to spike his mind, either from sheer luck, or from training to resist that sort of attack. Darius, like Shade-9, observed the transporter, but from where he was, he could not get a good enough look at the runes inside the structure, but he had seen them flash a pattern as the cultists arrived.

Then it flashed again. Darius could see the pattern in the runes even through the moonbeam spell, which dazzled and burned the new arrivals - two cultists who appeared to be of higher ranking in the cult, or at least wealthier, with more tattoos, symbols, jewelry and accessories than the others. In addition, he could see that they wore light chainmail under their robes. But it wasn't the cultists that caught his attention the most - it was the arcane runes that had not shone when the others had. Perhaps he could alter the pattern, either lock this location or change it so that it routed access to another transporter.

Unfortunately, he would need to get next to the thing and be able to safely reach inside of it.

Suddenly and without warning, there was a deep growl that seemed to come from every crack in the mountain, and the whole place shook. The muddy bank vibrated such that all footprints liquified and flattened. Stalactites fell from above and plunged into the lake, further causing the bank to become awash with water.

OOC: Two Cult Fanatics transported in, and were hit by the moonbeam (one saved), then I finally remembered to catch you up to the handover of the first Idol, which if you recall, caused a minor earthquake. I'll have to remember to do it for Team Infiltrate, too!

Nearly doubled over in pain from the crossbow bolt's impact, Terrin gasps for air and intones a harsh sounding word. Energy and resolve flow into his body as he swings his staff down onto Getan lying prone on the stairs.

OOC: Terrin casts healing word on himself.
Healing: 2D4+7 = [1, 2]+7 = 10
Quarterstaff (Advantage): 2D20.HIGH(1)+3 = [6, 6]+3 = 9
Coyotecode has really not been my friend lately.

Hoping to draw Getan towards him and away from Siobhan's inquiring gaze, Terrin backs down the stairs, potentially drawing his attack.

OOC: Terrin moves to AS-71, or 70 if there's not enough room.

TEAM LAKE - Bjorn
Bjorn focused his concentration on the beam of moonlight, moving it slightly to cover the mercenary and newly arrived cultist near the cave wall.

OOC: Maintained concentration on moonbeam. Moving the center to G42/43 to catch M1 and F1 (magic action). M1 will take damage immediately while F1 will only take the damage if they end their turn there.
Concentration check (DC 10): 1D20+2 = [13]+2 = 15
Moonbeam damage (DC 14 Con, radiant): 2D10 = [7, 8] = 15
15 again!

Lorent dodges the obvious attack and smirks.
"Let's see how you manage your own."
Taking a breath, he shouts in different voice.
"Siobhan! Inflitrators, shapechangers! Don't let anyone past you, not even me!"
Rowlows voice comes from below, echoing in the stairs.

Smiling, he focuses on the leader and blasts him back from the stairs, taking the original position he intended. His self assigned task is to protect Merrick, so it will take more than a little poison to do that. Or a bully.

"Saphirrion, finish him up so Copper can come and help!"
With a sharp meow, the celestial burns poor misguided souls mortal husk to just...a husk.

OOC: I hope Rowlow talked enough that Lorent can mimic him. Insight DC 12 if trying to recognize the fake[, if she even tries ;)

TEAM LAKE - SUBJECT: SHADE-9

[
#DATALOG: Structure Confirmed Teleport Node - Active threat vector
93% Probability Red Crystal at Apex is power source - arcane wards noted
]

[
#Flag: Flash pattern correlates with energy phase initiation sequence
Probability of modulation: 37% with current knowledge - Access requires high-risk positioning
]

While it was almost certain that the red crystal powered the teleport node, Shade-9 could see that attempting to use brute force against the structure itself was not a viable strategy. But something had to be done, it was an active threat vector and put the entire team and mission at constant risk.
Darius had also seen the runic pattern, but his access was also blocked by the incoming cultist, they would need to be eliminated before any others arrived.

Shade-9 was about to move when the mountain shook, splashing mud up his legs and causing him to crouch slightly for stability. As it passed, he scanned his companions to check their status and then homed in on the chainmail wearing cultists who had arrived and then been promptly caught in Bjorns moonbeam.

Raising his own bow Shade-9 fixed one of them with a hunters mark and then released an arrow at his chosen target...

[PRIMARY DIRECTIVE: BODYGUARD - ACTIVE: Maintain line of sight to Guldren
Terrain Unstable: Seismic volatility and hydraulic overflow increasing
#Do Not Advance
]

[
Engagement Protocols: Longbow Deployed Hunters Mark Engaged: #FC2
Increased symbology and chainmail indicate for higher status Priority Threat B. Armor class moderate
]

OOC:
Bonus Action Cast Hunters Mark on Fanatic Cultist 2 (I have line of sight to I42)

Longbow
Attack: 1D20+8 = [16]+8 = 24
Damage 1D8 +3 +2 +1D6 = [6]+3+2+[5] = 16

Will then move into darkness for cover if any is present

Darius notices the pattern and lack of some of the runes from flashing. If they could clear the device he could possibly stop more cultists from commig through. He telekinetically propels another bolt at one of the new cultists and then concentrates his powers on the other. The air begins to warp around the tattooed cultist with another portal appearing over the lake next to the swarm of fish.

"I think I can stop the teleporter. Just need to clear the enemies."

As he finishes speaking the ground begins to shake. He hunkers down to keep his balance and tries to figure out why the mountain is suddenly shaking.

OOC: Action: Telekinetic fling against fanatic 2: 1d20+6 18 1d10 7
Bonus: Using Warp Propel on Fanatic 1. It needs to make a dc14 Strength save or be teleported to L40.
