TEAM FUSION - SUBJECT: SHADE-9 - Going Around the Bend

Shade-9 stood back in the shadows, observing as the kayaks were redeployed and Loklafd began ferrying the now larger group to the northern shore. The warforged opted to remain in the darkness, tracking the kayaks progress from the shore and trusting that distance and shadow would keep the known threats at bay until they all disembarked.

They avoided attracting attention and gathered in the North-South Chamber as Aywin and Svetlana set about mapping their forward reconnaissance. The warforged looked on with approval adding the visual data to his own scans

The Warforged Stalker tightened his grip on the Statue of Bhaal, making sure that it was still secured in his possession, engaging subroutines to maintain emotional stability as he did so. Svetlana had mapped a multivector environment with each one a potential hazard or advantage as they inched towards their Mission Objective.

"I concur that investigation of the North-East Tunnel is the logical primary task" Shade-9 replied to Aywins suggestion. Nonetheless the Stalkers stance was not fully committal, instead his head was turned to the south beyond the vine covered stalactite to the oscillations of the arcane veil

"It may be advisable to also investigate the arcane oscillation to the south" he continued, even surprising himself as his logic processors caught up with his words "we need to ensure that it does not pose un unacceptable risk or that it might provide potential strategic gain"

Bjorn privately agreed with the Warforged, although he did not voice it, cautious as he was to not draw the attention of the stirges. Given the layout that Aywin projected, he also considered changing back to his native form. But not yet - his frog form still had utility in terms of stealth and rescue should someone slip into the swift currents.

He stayed at the rear of the party, prepared to traverse the jagged shore adjacent to the falls.

"I don't think we need to check daylight exit, after all, we're looking for a way back in." the warlock comments on one part. "We can of course send the flying scout or scouts just to be sure, but I'd rather go to the magic door. Exiting back out should be the last solution unless it literally gets us into their backyard and next to the door."

OOC: What are the risks of getting to the southern branch?

TEAM fusion - Aywin

Calmly, Aywin says "we have two voices for the tunnel upwards, and one for the tunnel with the magical veil. I'm assuming that those remaining quiet agree with the majority, so let's move forward and upwards".

OOC: trying to move things forward, not to dismiss anyone.
@FitzTheRuke, what rolls do you need from us re the stories and other hazards?

"Now, if I was trying to hide something, I'd put it in a natural lookin place." Copper muses. "But these cultists ain't me, they are obsessed with power. They would hide something behind magic. Maybe we should poke around that veil."

OOC: Not trying to split the party, just giving people a reason to go somewhere in order to move along the plot.

OOC: I may be wrong, but looking at the map we would have to walk past the veil to get to the passage with light. I’d prefer we check out the veiled area first to avoid having something come up behind us.

Team Fusion - Aywin

Awin is still thinking over the choice of paths, but first, the group must clear the stirges. He readies his weapon, knowing that it will be difficult to fight off the creatures should they attack, and carefully moves forward.

OOC: the goal is to move to AH12
Stealth roll 8 (note, I coded it improperly on coyotecode, I did a 2d20.high(1) instead of low, I took the low roll)
