Team lake - Aywin

Aywin struggles a bit with the kayak after being on land. He thought he had the hand of it, but it seems he’ll need to be more attentive.

He signals the others about Svetlana’s find. “We should investigate, it could be important” he says as he paddles towards the landing.

Not wanting to waste any more time and concerned the drow may seek his freedom whether the idol is recovered or not, Terrin runs to the grate, drops down, and continues down the tunnel to join Stryke.

OOC: Terrin takes the Dash action and moves as far down the tunnel as possible.
 


LAKE TEAM - SUBJECT:SHEILD-9 - System Lag

Bjorn surfaced with a frantic burst, swimming back towards them, but seemingly whatever he had encountered there had not pursued him. Shade-9 logged the report, confirming the threat risk, before turning his attention back to Guldred, who was calling them to proceed, pass the backlit cave and into yet another narrow twisting tunnel-

that is until Aywin returned their attention to the cave above and, catching him unaware, steered their shared kayak back towards it, causing Shade-9 to miss his stroke!

"It's been swell, but we really have to go!" Copper dashes down into the sewers, while making sure to close the grate and coat it in oil to further hinder the guards.

"So, where do we go from here?" He asks after catching up to the others.

Action: oil up the gate.
Bonus action: Dash.
 

Team Caves - Torhak

The ranger hates to reveal himself, but if they get stopped here in the narrow, there will be trouble. He rushes past the bottleneck and paralyzed guard directly and slams into the cultist behind him approaching the group.

The widening of eyes was the only thing the cultist managed to do before Torhak burried his shortsword and dagger into his guts and rent with both blades.

 

Team Infiltrate

One-by-one, Imani's Agents dropped through the open grate, with Copper closing it behind them and making it more difficult to open. He could hear them struggling with the portcullis, and the cries of the man trapped underneath. Leaving the grate behind, they ducked (with Copper nearly being forced to crawl) through a mucky, foul-smelling tunnel, before it opened into a large, dark cavern. The tunnel and cavern had no light whatsoever, but Stryke the Drow had incanted a spell that caused four dim motes of purple-blue light to flit about each of them, illuminating their travel, but minimizing the distance that they could see - or be seen.

"We must find a place to hide, the Drow suggested, "Until our pursuers give up the chase. I know of a place, if you will allow me to lead the way. I will honour our agreement and take you to the Idol, but it will not be easy. We must hurry. Those cultists will follow us soon enough!"

OOC: We can drop out of combat rounds for now.

Team Caves

With the mercenary on guard held in place by Shamal's order, he did not defend himself when Merrick struck him hard with the blunt-end of a polearm. Even dazed nonsensically, the man still stood transfixed by Bhaal's magic.

Urgan stepped into the light, and he stood near a pile of the strange crystals as he cast a spell at the person who seemed most likely to be the "mistress", Valendra. The woman shielded herself with her arms and the strength of her will, and she moved for the cover of a bend in the rocky wall. A nearby cultist moved to slash at Urgan with a serrated knife, but Torhak appeared beside him and gutted him with sword and knife.

The further mercenary guard held his torch under his arm while he furiously worked to load a crossbow, while the houndsman strode forward, holding a light shield in front of himself, ready to defend. His armored dogs continued to bound across the cavern, nearing their targets with snarling growls.

Urgan glanced down at the crystals and noticed that all of the ones near him had begun to glow with an eerie light.

OOC: Valedra saved, but the Held merc did not. Valendra & the Houndsman have dodged, so anyone attacking them should remember to do so with disadvantage.

Merrick whacked the Held mercenary with the butt of his polearm, knocking him out, then strode forward to kill the dog. He stood in front trying to keep people from getting closer.

Move to BB5. Hit dog Ac 15, for 13 damage.


If anyone moves in 10 feet from Merrick, Merrick takes attack of opportunity and they take 3 damage automatically or

Crit!
