Merrick shouts,

"I wanna hear weapons dropping - you might as well hand your spell components over too, wizard.

Then lay on your stomach and hands over your head."

In draconic, he hollers to Pikki, their guide,

"Pikki, be a dear and light a torch and bring it here."

OOC: Rage lasts for 10 minutes and gives advantage on Intimidation checks. I have to spend a bonus action every round to keep it going. So I'll do that while we're talking.

Team Caves

It turned out that Pikki and the other kobolds had fled down the tunnel to the east, returning to their caves. On their way out, they had trampled out the waning torch that had been dropped there, and had murdered the unconscious mercenary guard.

This was all discovered some time later, after the two prisoners had been secured.

Merrick takes out a torch and lights it.

“We can make a deal where we let you go after we are done our business here. All you have to do is answer questions.

So, what’s so special about this green stuff?”

Using sign language, he communicates with the others, “Maybe we can get the kobolds to watch the prisoners until we are done our business??

Team Lake

With Guldred eager to reistablish his standing with his lizardfolk community, it seemed best for the group to return to the upper lake. Loklafd suggested that it would be far easier to carry the kayaks up along the bank-ridge, rather than to try to paddle them up the steep, narrow, and winding tunnel.

Guldred warned: Northward, the cavern was dangerously occupied by swarms of blood-sucking winged creatures. His description could only mean one thing - Stirges. He also described an area to the north-east, where he said that water from the lake plummeted over a falls. He recommended avoiding it, especially in kayaks.

It seemed that the best place to go would be along the south-western side of the lake-cavern, perhaps back to the muddy beach where they had fought the cultists, where they could put the kayaks back in the water and from there, cross the lake to the eastern shore, where it seemed likely that they would find access to the Bhaalite temple.

OOC: Sound good?

Team Lake - Bjorn
Still in frog form, Bjorn listened and agreed it was time to return to the upper caverns. Using their telepathic link, he reassured Bill, urging him to follow the others as they made their way up the bank. He then slipped back into the water and used powerful strokes to swim upstream and towards the previous chamber.
