I saw a copy at a half-price store for $160 and thought to myself, "Hmmm... but will I ever really use it? If so, the pdf is probably cheaper."

"Also, why do they keep calling themselves Half-price Books? Do they think we can't do math??"

Don't even get me started on Half Price. They wanted $200 for a copy of Night's Dark Terror. It's worth that much easily new in shrink. This one was missing all the maps and chits, had water damage, was written in, and had a damaged cover. Course nowadays all they have is old rule books of 40k and 12 copies of three different pathfinder books each.

Don't even get me started on Half Price. They wanted $200 for a copy of Night's Dark Terror. It's worth that much easily new in shrink. This one was missing all the maps and chits, had water damage, was written in, and had a damaged cover. I might be able to top that... Right now, there is a Volo's Guide to Monsters (5e) w/ Alt cover... for $500!

Granted, I have no idea what its actually worth. Maybe its out of print, hard to find, whatever. But you know what $500 can get you in RPG terms...?

Granted, I have no idea what its actually worth. Maybe its out of print, hard to find, whatever. But you know what $500 can get you in RPG terms...?

That's actually about what they go for. I sold mine for 600 they under printed the book because they didn't realize how popular alternate covers were going to be.

Hell, if a written-in copy of NDT with the chits missing and no maps can be sold for $200 I wonder what I can get for a similar-condition copy that still has the maps?
