Legend
Interesting Tidbit About Frazetta:

He didn't like to leave his home in PA very often. His reputation as an artist was such that people who wanted his work would go to him (instead of him going to where they were).

If you visit the museum (which is located on the same property on which he lived), there are photos of Lucas sending representatives visiting PA to try to convince Frank to do work for Star Wars. (I can't remember if George himself visited or not.)

As the story goes, Frank turned down the offer because he wanted to retain his rights to any artwork he produced.

IIRC, Frank was an artist who pushed to be credited when he did work for novel covers and such. For some studios and publishers, it was/is common practice to buy artwork, use it, and never give credit to the artist.

Limit Break Dancing
@CleverNickName isn't Tyler Jacobson the cover artist for the 5e PHB and DMG? Not seeing him on the list...
See, this is what happens when you try to compile a cohesive, comprehensive list at 2:00 a.m., without an editor.

Sorry about that; let's add Tyler Jacobson to the list as well. And then we are going to be done with adding names to the list; we are already two pages in on comments and votes and they are all starting to lose meaning. :) I just want to make sure I give all of the cover artists a fair shake.

Eberron is perfect... except for having too much WAR...

Huh. Lotta downs for DeTerlizzi, which I find kinda baffling, but I'm guessing it's a tonal thing that might be specific to the time people began playing. I gave some thought to pinging Elmore for similar reasons; I honestly thought he'd be getting big love.
