Easley is good for a dnd action shot, which is what we typically have come to expect, especially from cover art

Elmore shines when it comes to landscapes and especially characterizations. His drangonlance illustrations capture heroes in all the moments when they are not being explicitly heroic.

I do not care for Elmore's fantasy pin ups, or that aesthetic in his dnd art. Very cringe.

Yeah, that's my problem with Elmore. Very ambivalent about his art. Generally dislike it, but there are some pieces I love, like the aforementioned piece with the pants-less archer. Just look how proud they are at having bested a wee dragon! Perfect depiction of a low level party, in my opinion.

Mind you, I think Easley's art from what I remember of 2e suffered from Oh Look, Yet Another Lingerie Clad Sorceress.
