D&D 5E [5e] Witcher: Mother of Monsters

Aramalian To tie Barakor to the overarching "Mother of Monsters" theme, how does the following sound to you? Brouver Hoog, Elder of Mahakam, succumbs to madness, but there may be more to his visions of demons and omens than a diseased mind. Blood runs from the gemstone veins, babes go missing from cradles, and a darkness rises there. Part of Barakor's quest is to discern what darkness plagues Brouver Hogg's mind and how to alleviate it.

Also, if you wish, you may select this option:

Lose -1 Charisma, but gain proficiency in Insight, and you can use Insight to detect shapechanged creatures (like jackalwere, which don't normally allow a check like an illusory disguised hag would) against an opposed Deception check, as well as magical charm effects plaguing a person against an opposed spellcasting ability check.

Finally, would you roll a d6? It's for a table called "What stands in the way of delivering Odvara to the elves?" We already have one role Shayuri did on this table, but I think another is warranted now that we have a full party being assembled.

I need to look back at my mother of monsters thing now. I don't think I noted it on my sheet...

Hm! Did we do those during the Dead Zone? I don't see now when I page back.

It may have been!

For Talashia...

A mage betrayer left scars that you still carry. All you know of her is that she secretly belonged to the Cult of the Black Sun. You and she remain bound by a mystical connection due to a botched spell, feeling when the other is close.

Optional: -1 Dex, and you know the Sense Mage cantrip (which works like detect magic for sensing spellcasters).

lol, no worries man. There's a lot going on in that first post. :)

Hah, I thought putting everything in one place makes it easier, but there is a LOT of everything there.

Ah! Well, I wouldn't have taken that deal...must be why I didn't jot it down. :)

Admittedly, sensing spellcasters as a cantrip isn't bad, but it's pretty situational, and in a PBP levels are far enough apart that I wouldn't be seeing that point of dex again for a loooooooong time. :)

I will, however, jot that very cool bit of background info down.

Having it in one post does make it easier, but I think you have to kind of get used to it before the full easier-ness comes to fruition. If you're not sure where things are, it's confusing at first.
