5th level fighter-- suggestions sought

Hey folks,

I'm still somewhat new to playing this system, so I figured I'd ask for some input on character development.

I've got a 5th level human fighter (who's just levelled up) in an adventure with a gnome fighter/thief. It's mostly dungeon crawling alternating with overland travel, so even though he has a warhorse he doesn't use it much, except for occasional wandering encounters. We also get free and easy access to healing when we get out of a dungeon, and we can always find healing potions.

Here's what he is now:
S:16, D: 14, C: 15, I: 14, W:12, Ch: 10
Masterwork Longsword, Mighty Composite Shortbow, Mithral Armor +1, Light Steel Shield

Feats: Power Attack, Cleave, WP Focus: Longsword, Endurance, Die Hard, Iron Will

What I want to know is, what you would do with this character? Is there a particular prestige class you'd aim for, or would you stick with the fighter class? (My DM will let me alter some feats after the fact, which is cool.)

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Which are his skills?

With his good Intelligence score, he could cross-class in Survival, since it could benefit the party between dungeons.

In dungeon-only adventures, there aren't much need for anything besides trapfinding/disarming, Searh/Spot/Listen/Climb (occasional Jump), good fighting skills and lot's of healing potions (as you pointed out).

Since you already have a rogue in the party, you are the muscle, and since you are only two guys I would recommend the Improved Toughness feat (from Complete Warrior; +1 hp/level) to improve your survivalibility.

The rogue could perhaps pick up Dungeon Delver prestige class (Song and Silence) to ground his career in dungeon settings. For your character it is a tough choice changing into something else than a fighting tank.

Perhaps multiclassing into cleric is a somewhat good choice, for undead turning (there's plenty of them in a dungeon) and divine spells useful in dungeoneering (like for instance augury, hide from undead) and combat scenarios (like divine favor, shield of faith, bless).
