6 Sword Fighter

Inside of the campaign that we are currently playing, my character tends to carry around a lot of weapons(8 at a time). All of my weapons(except for my Darkwood Composite long bow +4 strength) have been made by my character. His ultimate goal is to make weapons that are well known throughout the world. Now I'll get to the point of my this thread. I want to have my character to have a sword for almost any occasion. Kind of when you see a legendary swordsman with many swords that he either created or took from his enemies. I have came up with several swords that I could get now. Please post any sword ideas that can be used by a level 4-7 character. My ideas so far are as follows.
1. Sandman Blade - A Rapier with the sandman enchantment. Upon a critical hit, the enemy has to make a will save 10+1/2BAB+STR MOD.
2. Flame Sword - a Flaming sword with flaming and flaming burst. Haven't decided what sword yet.
3. Extending Blade - A sword that can hit targets that are not adjacent to me. Any ideas of how to get this and the cost would be appreciated.
4. I also made a masterwork greatsword so if you could do something with this would be great.

Any other ideas would be great!

Checked with dancing but the sword only seems to fight in the same square. If it can help my character has a set of gloves that allow me to use any weapon withing a size catagory of me without a penalty. This means that I can use a Large two handed weapon or a light small weapon.
 

How about at least one bane weapon since they are the stuff of legends among people who despise or fear a certain type of foe? Preferably one made as a traditional weapon of the people in question. My personal favourite would be Magebane (from Complete Arcane) since it has a wider range of applications than most and a weapon to combat the superiors, casters, is a warrior's dream.
 

3: a weapon that has the throwing (range increment 10 )and returning properties counts as a +2 bonus. If your blade gains reach 10, during your turn, that seems like a reasonable +1 modifier. a weapon that gives you reach all the time is probably +2.

level 4-7 i believe limits you to +1 power mods: keen and merciful are good choices. the merciful could add holy at later levels.

How about a 5 element blade? just keep stacking on elemental damage.

Have you thought about minor quirks for your weapons? glowing a specific color, a humming sound that starts on round 2 of a fight and gets gradually louder, or a blade that must be bloodied once drawn, or it loses its magical properties until it tastes blood again.

Oh, right. Since this was brought up by Evilhalfling...

How about Shadowstrike? It's at least in the Magic Item Compendium. For 5000gp you can have a blade that extends at least part of the time and can catch foes unaware. Of course the original flavor makes it more of an sneaky weapon of shadows but the same rules should be usable with more conventional extending weapons.

What about a sword that you can use to drain your opponent's life and heal yourself? Something like vampiric from the MIC could work, though thematically it may be considered "evil".

Or a brilliant energy bastard sword that allows you to deflect arrows (this is usually a shield ability).
 

Seems like a two-bladed sword might be a nifty idea, especially if the blades can mechanically or magically retract into the hilt. In fact...

... why not make a magical two bladed-Swiss army knife this way? Just keep adding blades to it.

My last mage carried a bastard sword with a wand reliquary in the handle that he kept a wand of fireball in. Point sword, say word, fireball shoots out from tip of sword...legendary?
