When I was up at Jasper National Park in Canada last week, one of the Park Wardens told me that elk were considered the most dangerous animal in the park. And the park is fully of grizzly bears, wolf packs and cougars. (And this year we've already had deaths attributed to grizzly bears and attacks by cougars).

The things can have antlers over a meter long.

Elk do 3d6+3 damage on a charge as a CR 1/4 creature. That seems kind of insane.

Mule is in the back of the PHB.
1d4+2 bludgeoning?

Elk is the new mule.

Noticing an interesting omission in the Doppleganger writeup. Namely, any mention of a saving throw against the mind-reading ability. You mean it might actually be useful this time around?

Didn't they change the kobold advantage on swarming? I remember that being a mess in the first packet.
Oh god that was ridiculous. And it's not like you can pick up a handful of 20 dice; they need to be rolled in pairs.

I was on the fence about spells in enemy stat blocks, but the mage unsold me. At least two reactions and a bonus action in a spell list with no indication? Not cool.
Whoa. I hadn't even thought about that. Spells were rough when all of them were just Standard actions. With different action types... Wow.

Some cool stuff in there, but I wonder
"Antimagic Shell
Where this spell is referenced for possible player use
in the adventure, see the antimagic field spell in the
Player’s Handbook."

I thought you were supposed to be able to run the adventures with nothing but the adventure book and free PDFs?

I imagine there's a part of the book that says "if a player casts antimagic shell, X happens." And they forgot that it's not called that in 5e.
