I didn't take the spell myself, but it's not that bad a choice.
Dimension Door has a single advantage over Teleport, in that you need not know your destination. If you're outside a sealed vault, you can Door "ten feet forward" and end up on the other side of the wall. I don't think it's useful to take both spells, because the 3rd-level version can fit into a wand. Take GD on your spell list, and pick up a wand of DM for emergencies.
Dispel Magic and Greater Dispel is not quite as bad IMHO because sometimes you DO need that many dispels and Greater Dispel does get better with level.
