Okay I'll admit I haven't read the OP, but I wildly disagree with the premise of this thread. The assumptions made by the poster reveal their ideas about the topic are based entirely in slippery slope sealion strawman goalpost moving. The only thing they got right was what they said about the best edition of D&D, the purpose of halflings, and the definitive alignment of Batman.
