8 power sources. so what are the other 4?

Trying for something different, how about Truename from Tome of Magic? Or maybe Incarnum, although I could never see the big deal about that.
So, for certain:
Martial
Divine
Arcane

Probable:
Psionic
Primal
Shadow

Contenders:
Artifice/Tech
Ki
Truename
Incarnum

Bel

2. Shadow (mentioned quite a bit, but no confirmation)
This could encompass shadowdancers, necromancers, assassin?, and many others ...

Yeah, in Worlds & Monsters they actually say 'Shadow is a power source in 4th edition.' Granted, things have changed since the preview books, but I think it's close to a sure bet.

Most likely I could guess for the power sources would be:
Arcane
Artifice
Divine
Martial
Primal
Psionic
Shadow
Spirit/Soul/Incarnum

Ki-type stuff would probably be subsumed into martial or psionic. Truename and pact type stuff would probably be subsumed into arcane or divine fairly easily (witness 4E Warlocks). Bards could easily be primal or arcane. Illusion type stuff could be easily subsumed into shadow. Ancestral powers, animist powers, or totemic powers could easily be covered by a spirit, soul, or incarnum sort of power source.

Though, Entropy or Wyrding or somesuch could be a Far Realmsian power source.

Shadow and Truename sound just like an Arcane subtype, and Incarnum a subtype of Divine.

Martial
Arcane
Divine
Psionic
Special Sauce
Lettuce
Cheese
Pickles/Onions

Seriously, though, I hope they don't map the power sources directly to planes. That seems a bit too contrived, and essentially makes all powers some sort of planar effect.

One more thing I'd mention is that they have mentioned 8 power sources. But I assume they need 9 to get 3 PHBs out (if trend of 3 power sources per book continues). I know I'm getting way ahead of myself, but its fun to speculate.
From an interview at D&D XP we know the tentative plan for PHB2 was Primal, Psionic, and more Arcane and Divine, so the trend of 3 new power sources per book probably won't continue.

Also, the 8 will only cover "about 90%", which makes it sound like there'll be more power sources that are relatively minor, perhaps with only one or two classes each. Perhaps the Artificer will have a unique power source, rather than Artifice/Tech being one of the 8.

If we're connecting power sources to planes, then Primal should be tied to the Feywild.

Except Arcane magic already is (think about the story and bent of the eladrin...i think W&M had something about the connection as well).

Martial = The World
Arcane = Feywild
Divine = Astral Sea

Psionic = Far Realm
Shadow = Shadowfell
Primal = Elemental Chaos

of course then we're at 6 and out of planes. And this falls into the 'unnecessary symmetry' that I am pleased as punch that they've done away with.

Since from the comment that started this thread we know that Martial, Arcane, Divine, and Psonic are definite, and Primal / Nature and Shadow have been mentioned in various places with some regularity, we are only really missing two.

Artifice does have the draw of another "nonmagical" power source. Ki would make the 1e fanboys happy. Not thrilled with either of these options myself but it'll of course depend on execution.
