D&D 5E 9th level NPC wizard, what is your "Minimum Personal Security" suite?

So, therefore, if you are trying to be pedantic, not "That's the first thing I said". Q.E.D.
I wasn’t trying to be pedantic, so I’m not sure what your point is.

Im not going to read the rest of your post. The beginning tells me what the character of the rest will be.

Imagine you have a the class NPC wizard in their tower or library or whatever.

I think you need to think about which spells would already be in effect. For instance the whole place (possibly with holes) should be under a Mordenkainen's Private Sanctum spell. There should be loads of Glyphs of Warding just waiting to be uncovered and activated. Stinking Cloud and Cloudkill are good ones. Remember that glyphs can be beneficial too - Mislead and Teleportation Circle come to mind - but anything with a long casting time too. If the wizard has higher-level friends a door opened in just the right way might lead to a Demiplane.

There ought to be interesting variations too: in a library, fire is a hazard so perhaps there's a glyph that sets off a variation of Fog Cloud to quench the fire.

I think you also need to think about family and servants. You don't want a curious child or guest accidentally activating anything nasty so there should be specific areas without traps etc. Doors to interesting areas should have permanent Arcane Locks on them. (Perceptive PCs may pick up on this as a clue.)

Imagine you have a the class NPC wizard in their tower or library or whatever. For them, its not a day of adventuring, not a day they expect to fight heinous evil....just good old research, some scrying, maybe a little divining, etc.

Now in said Wizard's perfect world, they would prepare no combat spells. After all, every spell prepared to blow something up is one less spell you have to do actual useful things. But....the world is a scary place, and you never want to be caught unprepared, so for your "personal security" you do maintain some combat focused spells.

Now the question....what would those spells be? What do you think a 9th level wizard who wants to be prepared for invaders (general trouble, nothing specific), but wants to utilize the minimum amount of prepared slots towards the effort as possible, would prepare?

Lets assume an 18 int wizard, so a total of 13 prepared spells in total. If it matters for your discussion, here are the spell slots per day such a wizard has access to:

5th - 1
4th - 3
3rd - 3
2rd - 3
1st - 4
Floating Slots (assuming one short rest) - 5

Also lets assume the wizard does NOT have access to magic items. So his own spells are what he's got.
You should have made him 11th level because Gaurds and Wards is the obvious one.

What I would have thematically prepared for such an NPC:

Cantrips: Mage Hand, Mending, Prestigitation, blade ward, light

1. charm person, Unseen Servant, alarm
2. Rope Trick, Detect thoughts, arcane lock, enlarge/reduce, suggestion
3. Gylph of warding
4. Banishment, summon construct, arcane eye, mordenkainen's hound
5.
