A Cavern Hag ate my character

First Post
Yep, just last night my character Elven Fighter/Ranger got eaten by a Cavern Hag. Throughout the whole quest, I think I failed 75% of my saving throws. He got scared twice, became nauseated from a Stinking Cloud, had his Masterwork Short Sword explode from a Shatter spell, and was also Blinded... twice. After defeating several summoned monsters (a couple of Hell Hounds, and Fiendish Boars), a whole slew of Goblins, and a Shadow Mastiff, he got offed by a lucky Critical from the Hag's bite. Brought me down to -26 as my body got split in half. My brooch of shielding was crushed as well. Yet, honestly it was the most fun I've had in a while. :)

Anyone else had any fun, memorable character deaths?

Well, not personally. But the first time I gamed, the session ended early, and we decied to end the campaign the day it started....so most of out characters committed suicide in comical manners.

This guy Ted was playing a drow of some kind, i forget the details. but he was basically a Drizzt rip-off with longswords instead. ANYway, he puts one sword in front of his throat and one in back of is neck....and runs straight into a tree.

*awaiting insane elaboration by blackshirt*

Never speak of my first attempt to DM again Angcuru.

But let us never forget that Teddy was irked because I wouldn't let him get away with murder and have any equipment he wanted.

Ted: "I want, 2 vorpal crystal longswords, red dragon hide armor, and I'm an Albino Drow Soulslayer, so I look like a normal elf, and I have all the Drow Elf powers, but I'm not allergic to sunlight."
Me: "Um, you're a level 1 character. No vorpal, No Albino Drow, no Soulslayer(what the f'heck is a Soulslayer anyway?), no non-allergy to sunlight. I'll let you have the Red Dragon Armor, but it's made from the Red Dragon's Man-Sack, and thus only gives you +1 to AC."
Ted:"Your world sucks! You're a crappy DM!"

once i was playing in a post-apocalyptic game where the PCs found a nuclear weapon - and accidentally set it off (rolls to figure out the device were all critical failures)

they were at ground zero. they didn't feel a thing :D

How on earth did he figure that an albino drow would have no sun-sensitivity? Quite the opposite. Albino are the real-world varient on drow as it is, in that regard. Heck, I'd *let* him be an albino drow... It would be downright comical.

Take into account that at the time of game, Ted was wearing tight black studded leather pants and a shiny red blazer. It tends to distract a DM when he's gaming with Axle Jackson.
:D

my mistake, apparently you were more scarred by the image than I was. remember when we walked around the mall wearing steel plate greaves?
