A choice of Alexanders

ddvmor

I'm a little teapot!
I was perusing the new DVD releases in town today and considered picking up Alexander, which I hadn't seen in the cinema. Problem is, there's two choices - the 2 disk special edition theatrical version with lots of bonus extra goodness and the (significantly cheaper) one disk directors cut edition, which looks to be about 8 minutes shorter.

Any advice?

I went with the two disk edition for the other goods. And yeah, I can see how the director's cut would be shorter as like the Matrix Revolutions, there are some fight scenes that just go on way too long.
