A Clash of Earth and Sea (El Jefe Judging) [See Part II]

Round 2 Begins
Iggy moves to the doorway, sending his familiar into the air and calling on the powers of prophecy to guide his hand.

Ducane steps opposite his brother, flanking the gargoyle. Slamming his weapon into the beast, he fails to damage it.

Sara is up!

(To clarify, Sara's last post was resolved when her readied action went off. Charlarn's round 2 action is allready posted, and I will still need a round 2 action from Zack... who is free to wait till after the Gargoyle's move to post, if he so desires.)

OoC: Doesn't seem like I need to. Unless it's got something completely devilish coming his way, of course.

IC: Taking advantage of the distraction that his brother provides, Zack takes a swing at the gargoyle, accompanying the attack with an almost bestial roar. His weapon cleaves through the beast surprisingly easily.

OoC: Wohoo! Good attack and damage rolls! Attack 24, Damage 16

Iggy

Confident of striking the gargoyle and not his friends, Iggy releases a stream of fire into the swirling melee.

OOC: Cast scorching Ray at Gargoyle. Ranged touch attack 8+26=34. Dmg: 12.

Gargoyle battle Spells(4+1 div/3+1 int+1 div/2+1int+1div): ray of frost(x2), light, acid splash, color spray, magic weapon(x2), true strike, magic missile, detect thoughts, scorching ray(x3)x2

Sara experiementally full attacks, but her blow with the enchanted blade (probably) misses and the unenchanted one fails to penatrate. This doesn't seem to dampen her enthusiasm however, and she grins at Zack's hit. "nice job!"

rolls

(AC 18, full hp)

Round 2 Concludes
Sara assaults the gargoyle, but misses.

The Gargoyle hits Ducane with 2 out of 4 attacks, slashing, goring and biting at him for a total of 8 damage.

Zack strikes just as the monster attacks Ducane, hitting for 16, and eliciting an apreciative comment of "Nice job!" from Sara.

Round 3 Begins
Iggy, guided by mystic forces, reaches out with a deadly accurate blast of fire, dealing 12 damage and dropping the gargoyle into the dirt, unconcious.

You can hear in the distance the sound of aproaching wings...

Edit: Corrected based on Xael's post below re: using dodge feat

Charlarn of Phyrah: Male human cleric 3/ranger 1

Charlarn again reaches for his silver falcon. He moves away from the gargoyle and touches Ducane. "Accept the blessing of the Searcher." (casts cure moderate wounds in place of summon monster II; heals 12 hp)

Cleric Spells Prepared (4/3+1/2+1: save DC 13 + level):
0-detect magic, guidance, light, mending;
1-bless, magic weapon, magic weapon, sanctuary*;
2-shield other*, spiritual weapon, summon monster II.
*Domain spell.

AC 18 vs. G1, AC 17 vs. all others
HP: 26/26

Iggy

Iggy dashes forward towards the others. "More coming! Ducane, I'm glad you're OK. Here, let me enchant your weapon." Iggy will enchant the Katana as soon as he sees more gargoyles coming at them, stepping beside Sara, between her and the others. He'll prepare his color spray, to cast if any gargoyle dives at them.

Ducane mutters a "Thanks." to Charlarn, and moves to protect Iggy and wait for the magic weapon spell.

OOC: That last Gargoyle attack shouldn't have hit Ducane because of the Dodge.
