A d20 NPC Wiki?

What about posting original monsters/creatures? I'm thinking of a "mad dwarf" NPC right now that is in no way built up via existing templates or anything, but still might be interesting to someone. So I wonder, is there room in the wiki for "new critters"?

Sure, throw them in and give us your best guess their Challenge Ratings.

This is going to seem like a shameless plug but in truth it is more dealing as to why I started this project in the beginning.

Even today, the NPC Generation software products are extremely lacking in many aspects, be it from the core random engine that do nothing but generate unlikely results or the lack of ability to add new material and have it factored into the generation processes. For me I wanted something different, constantly I would have a specific NPC already in my mind I wanted stats for. From the retired low level adventure who is now a blacksmith in a village, to the loyal followers and high priest of a demonic cult. 10 months ago, creating the stats for these imagination spurts took hours...

That was 10 months ago..

Today, NPC Designer takes about 2 seconds and you can design pretty much any NPC you desire. I am telling you this so perhaps you won't have to do what I have done for so many years, *looks over at the stack of gaming material* It is a never ending battle for good material.

Don't want to waste much time but learn what it can do...

I am not trying to change the topic, I am merely giving you another solution to the same problem.. Great NPC's

Eberron Adds

I've added a number of characters by CR, most of them from my six month Eberron campaign. Most of them can be used in any setting; only a few are so closely tied to Eberron that they require rules from that book.

"White Blades", Human psychic warriors 2
Sentinel Marshal, human paladin 3
Skakan, "Executive Administrative Assistant" CR 3
"Gold Blades," Human psychic warriors 3
Onebee and Twobee, warforged scout rogues 3
Vilina, shifter ranger 3
Wealth Patron, CR 4
Helm, warforged artificer 4
Hatchet, warforged ranger 4
Gormir, neanderthal barbarian 5
Valfin, human druid 5
Amavakti, kalashtar telepath 6
Kyle d'Ferriss, human paladin 6 ambassador
Quietus, human cultist and killer CR 8
Kaad, venerable hobgoblin monk 12

The initial release for the core NPC Designer engine I am shooting for is August 1st.. Since I have nothing planned for August.. September 1st is the aim date for NPC Designer - Modern. I am even looking at NPC Designer - Future as well. (Though no date yet)

Has anyone specifically invited Blackdirge or the other prolific NPC posters to post (some of) their creations from the Rogues' Gallery forum?

Or perhaps just for permission to post said creations? There is lots of good stuff there that should be shared with the world.

That's not a bad idea. And what would really help it is if Jamis Buck's generators were updated to 3.5 and the non-core WotC stuff was added to it. Then, a little tweaking and adding of equipment, and throwing the guys up in the wiki, and DMs would be set for a long time to come.

His NPC generator has been updated by En World's Andargor. You can find it at http://www.andargor.com .

Just a note to say that it only has the basic SRD stuff, not epic nor prestige classes. Since everything is hard-coded, adding more content is like pulling teeth.

I'll get off my butt eventually to code something up that's a little more extensible. Vascant has already made good progress on his tool as well, and even now it has far more functionality than JB's.
