A Dice and paper organizer!

Got ya! I'm doing research for an RMT (Resistant materials technology, you know sawing stuff up and glueing it back together? Oh yeah, you call it Shop, why?) project. I'm going to make a dice and paper organizer, I'd like to know what you want out of a dice and paper organizer.

Do you want the paper in the top vertically? Or underneath horizontally?

How many dice do you have? Any kind of paterns you would like on there? 6 compartments? Or 7?

Do you you want it to be able to store anything else (other then mountain dew, cheetos and other snacks)

Anything else?

Remember I'm going to be handing this in to a teacher, soit would be nice if it was formated nicely. Oh and I would like it for tommorow, if that's possible, please.

What the heck...

A Dice Organizer would need to consist of approximately 4 compartments:

1. Compartment, approximately 10 cm x 15 cm x 5 cm, for holding several sets of dice. This compartment should be lidded, or what it slides into should be fairly tight to avoid dice from spilling out.
2. Compartment, approximately 10 cm x 30 cm x 22 cm (you need to re-measure this - rough estimate), for holding two to three stacked RPG books. Any more than that, and you've gone from a dice and paper organizer to a briefcase.
3.Compartment, approximately 22cm x 16 cm, removeable, for rolling dice in - a dicebox.
4.Compartment, approximately the size of the book compartment, lidded to avoid spillage, as before, to store miniatures, battlemat markers, paper chits, etc.

A design of a Dragon, or a dragon and dice, on the top would be ideal. Possibly something like an ink-based transfer of existing art, but shellac'ed into permanence? Designs can be as elaborate or frugal as you wish -- I'm a utilitarian sort.

Ok, what I would find useful.

First I almost always game usingn a clipboard, but always need a place to roll the dice. And I often have a calculator nearby, moreso with 3.5 than ever before.

Main area, clipboard to attach character sheet. Underneath could be storage for said character sheets so when packing away in backpack they don't get folded, creased, etc.

A dice box, This would be either on top or top right side(since I roll right handed). It would flip open or slide out of the main compartment(probably better as it could be upto about 8" wide (same as paper in center area). This would give me a place to roll my die.

One the left hand side would be either a place to hook a calculator or attach a sticky/note pad. The calculator is mainly for adding all the numbers up, nothing fancy, so a note pad would work just as well. Again to keep footprint as small as possible, I would have it swing out from behind with a lock or something.

So when it was done it would look like a "T", Paper in the middle (with clip) then a slide out tray to the right for rolling dice and a swing around panel which (with clip) could hold a note pad. The top would flip/fold up to access the storage inside which could hold more pens, though who needs more than one.

Make it light enough I may buy one. Think of a clipboard matierials.

Perfect, C/P into word. I'm not a factory though, and I have some size constraints about 27 cm X 20 cm X 28, Give or take 5-6 Cm. So minitures and books might not work.

But That was exactly the sort of thing I wanted! Anyone else?

[Space for anything else?]
minis.

Diaglo, if I recall correctly, you'd need a dice organizer that came with its own forklift if you wanted to move your minis collection around! :)

:o :o :o

with my purchasing the WotC minis... my hat of which knows no limits... i think my minis once again outnumber my dice.

my dice purchases have slowed due to buying the overpriced, poorly painted, random plastic d02 PoSssss.

"All right, fellas... I'll be in in a minute... Let me go get the dice and mini's I brought along..."

From outside come the sound of gears stripping, and the hiss of exhaust pipes from a Semi...

*beep*beep*beep*beep*beep...

Seriously, Ferret, let us know how the project goes! :)
