A Feast for Crows June 24?

Amazon also says that The Key of Destiny, a dragonlance module that came out a few weeks back, isnt published yet.

As with all things, i'll believe this when i see it.

Amazon first said it would be out of Aug. of 2003. I don't think GRRM finished it yet. *SIGH*. He said that on his website, the minute its finished, he will say so there. I think the reason this book is taking so long is GRRM orginally wanted a 6 book arch. But he needed a middle book to bridge them, this is the unplanned middle book. Hopefully the last 3 books won't take as long to come out.

I don't believe it for a second.

I just went to GRRM's web site, and he's got new posts about The Hedge Knight comic and paperback novel that was dated June 10th, and a news post about a story called 'The Shadow Twin' that is getting published on May 30th....and in the text of the 'shadow twin' announcement, he specifically says..."[size=+0]And before the hardcore among you start writing me furious emails about "How dare you write something else when you haven't finished A FEAST FOR CROWS yet," let me assure you that my part of "Shadow Twin" was largely written before I began A GAME OF THRONES. Sometimes we run into these little... ahem... delays in the writing game..."

So unless GRRM finished AFFC in the last couple of days, waved a magic wand to get it to the printers and out the door in a week, I'm thinking Amazon is just smoking the rock. Again.

(sigh)

At his official website he mentioned that when he is done, he will updated it immediately... it will then take about 8 mos to get it edited and published. As of now, he is not done writing. SO all of us who are waiting, anxiously, are going to probably be waiting another year before its out.

he seems to have developed either a lazy streak a mile wide or the worst writers block I've ever seen.

Four Years we've been waiting. 4 :):):):)ing years.

Get to work Martin. Now.

Four years? For real? It's been four years since Storm of
Sword came out?!? I'm going to have to wait for over four
frickin' years between the books from now on?

Oh. My. Merciful. God.

Damn you ENWorld! Damn you! If it wasn't for you sadistic
people I would never have picked these damn books up.
You all just had to spread the pain, didn't you. Damn you
all!! I will have my revenge! Y'hear me! It will be mine!!

On the other hand, Robert Jordan's books come out every couple of years. But with nothing happening in them.
Like I said before, this book was not orginally planned. So I hope after he gets done with this one, they others will be coming out with less time between books.

Yikes! Four years is a long time. I been reading the series on and off since 2001 and I just finished Storm of Swords last year. And I feel impatient. My guess is that Amazon randomly picks a number (do they make 365 sided dice??? :uhoh: ).

Anyway... good time to read the books again.

I've got bad news about AFfC's, please don't kill the messenger. :(

I work for the nations largest book retail company (take a guess which one ;) ). When I got back from vaction a couple of weeks ago I had a memo in my box stating that "The publication date for A Feast for Crows (0553801503) by George R. R. Martin has been delayed until next year."

It's still possible for a Christmas release but I don't think so. Look for it sometime in the spring- March or April 2005 but we really just don't know. For the best news about when he is going to finish the book see his website www.georgerrmartin.com and the About A Feast for Crows line right under his picture though that hasn't been updated since Jan 4, 2004.

Yeah, 4 fricking years is a long time to wait for a book. I just hope that A Dance with Dragons will not take another 4 years.
