A Feast for Crows (very mild spoilers)

Erm. Yes and no. Yes, on the basis that most of my favourite characters will be in the next book but then again no necause at least you have the full arc of those POV's so you are reading a full book not half a one and waiting a year for the next half.
I think the main problem with the book is that we are gearing up for the story advancing in the next proper book (some of the characters training, Arya for example) so you get the feeling nothing much is happening, Cersei excepted whose chapters seem a bit rushed to me.
All in all though still a good read and im still looking forward to the next one which should have a bit more happening.

SteelCat, yes you may presume that.

Martin has confirmed that Jaime Lannister is a POV character in A FFC so yes - I am quite certain there are Jaime chapters in the novel.

I believe the new recurring points of view were Cersei and Brienne. There is also an unexpected move of Sam Tarly to AFFC. To say any more would amount to a spoiler so we'll leave it at that.

Clearly, the part that has me most interested in the doings of the Seven Kingdoms is unCat. Excepting Sam, every one of my favororite characters have more or less been shuffled off to the next book: John, Arya, Tyrion, Bran, Danaerys.

When you are left with Sansa and Sam - you just aren't left with enough.

That said - I want my damn book!! Grrrrrr.

Arya is in AFfF. The major PoVs are Arya, Sansa, Sam, Jaime, Brienne and Cercei. They're also joined by lots of minor PoVs that only last for one or two chapters (I think there are 6 of these in total, but I'm doing this in my head and may have miscounted).

Sweet Arya and Jamie. I know some people hate Arya chapters but I love them. She is my fovorite character. I also like Jamie chapters. Looking forward to the book.

Glad to hear that Arya is in. GRR Martin had said the characters in the east would not be included - and last I looked Bravos was "east".

I guess it's not east enough - fine by me :)

Arya is one of my favorites, but I'm trying not to get too attached to her. She's just psychotic now and I can't see a happy ending for Arya Stark.

But it's a fun ride all the same.

huh...I read these books 5-7 years ago. I barely remember them. No reason to purchase now until the series is completed.

I think i read somewhere, and dont hold me to this, that Arya would be in both books. Arya is one of my favourites and it is hard to see a happy ending for her, but you never know GRRM has pulled a few surprises..

Want the next book now, least its out next year (touch wood) not another 5 year wait. Still got the new Gaiman book to keep me occupied!
