A Friend Passed On

Bartmanhomer

First Post
Hello everybody. I have sad news to tell you. A friend of mine at school passed away at Memorial Day. He fell over a roof at his home. And I'm very depressed about this. :(

My deepest sympathies.

I'm afraid that I've been there too and it is a tough thing to get through. My only advice is to do what you can to try and comfort his family and other friends in whatever way you can. It always helps me deal with pain better when I'm doing something to ease it for others.

Sorry you're having to deal with this at such a young age. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My condolences, and a word of unsolicited advice:

Get together with other friends, folks who also knew the friend who died, and just spend some time sharing your memories of your friend. This is surprisingly difficult, but very theraputic.

My condolences as well. And I second Arbiter's unsolicited advice, don't ignore or postpone the grieving process. Sharing good memories is a great way to pay tribute to a life that touched yours.

On edit: In fact, if you can't or don't want to get together with friends in real life, why not share some memories with your friends online. Sometimes writing is easier to do than dealing with others face-to-face. If you want to share some stories with us, we're listening.
