A gentle reminder regarding politics

First, I wanted to thank everyone on behalf of the moderators and Admins. Despite what's occurring in the world's political arena, everyone here has stayed remarkably far away from the subject. That's extremely impressive, and it's definitely appreciated.

I wanted to remind everyone that right now many folks (and not just in the US!) are a lot more tense and strained than normal. That usually translates over to the "mood" and tenor of the boards. Please keep this in mind when posting, both in terms of offering people the benefit of the doubt, and in terms of how you phrase your posts. You might want to pause and read over a post before clicking the send button, especially if you think it may be somewhat suspect. If you're tempted to troll or personally attack someone, you're better off just erasing the post.

As always, political .sigs, threads, and comments still aren't going to be appropriate.

Thanks, folks! This is one of the best places online for folks who play D&D - and you're the reason for that.

One thing I'd like to add, folks. If you should see something political in a thread, please resist the urge to respond to it in any way. Please just report the post to a moderator, and let us deal with it - it makes our lives much easier. Thanks!

As a side-note - flags in sigs are OK, as long as it's just a flag.

I'd just like to add, now a week into it, that the mods are all extremely impressed with your willingness to follow the rules about political discussion and we're very grateful that you're all doing such a great job, keeping things positive and so forth. You guys are the best!
