Basic Fantasy 4e is free and very popular with soloists. I’m curious about the changes to LL, since Dark Dungeons 4e (BECMI) changed considerably. Everyone is moving away from OGL as best they can.

In the preview file, it says the new LL includes modifications to BX. For those who have it already, I'm curious what the changes are - a bullet point list would be great.
The original had quite a few modifications from B/X. Including spells above 6th level, character advancement to 20th, xp advancement charts with different numbers, and the inclusion of additional weapon and armor options from AD&D. It also modified morale checks to be upside-down compared to B/X (roll over to pass instead of under) IIRC, and changed the treasure types, coding them by roman numerals instead of letters. IIRC the changes to xp, morale, and treasure types were originally made to err on the side of caution and avoid copyright claims, back before B/X Essentials (now known as OSE) decided to take the risk and replicate them precisely.

Going to be a hard sell in this oversaturated market for sure.

If anyone picks this up, I hope they go in some detail what sets it apart from the others.

Soooo many OSR style games out there, but people keep buying and playing them. As one of the early movers, I'm curious how that core player base of Labyrinth Lord has evolved to the point of this release.
