A possible alternative to Petz?

Just found something called RPG Inferno. It's a system like Petz, but much, much more advanced - and much more D&D oriented (actually it's a bit Final Fantasy-like).

What do folks think? We could replace Petz with this. It's a commercial release, although fairly cheap ($20). The features list is far, far too long to list here, so it's easier if you go check out the site.

The vBulletin version was released just today (it had previously been available for Invision).

Woah...VERY cool system. I have to say, even though I enjoy Petz, this sounds like it would just be more fun all over

Yeah, it is vastly more advanced than Petz. It does look far more appropriate to EN World, and, due to its features, will likely hold peoples' interest for longer.

One problem I just noticed. They only take Paypal. Bleh - I'm not going near Paypal again with a 10-foot pole.

That does look great. If you do replace it could you give us a few more weeks. I think a lot of people are just getting the hang of things.

Well, I think I would like to do it (the idea of us having to develop Petz into something decent ourselves doesn't appeal to me!). However, if it happens, I'll have to hope that some kind soul with a Paypal account feels nice enough to make a gift to EN World and buy it on all our behalves.

I'll be happy to exchange a Community Supporter Account (or a year's extension) for it.

it looks like an interesting game.

Definately much more advanced than petz.

Yeah, it looks pretty incredible. It also appears to be a professionally produced package, too, whereas Petz is a bit of a hack-job (no offence to the designers, but we've all spotted problems and bugs with it!)

As soon as guedo sends me the files, I'll look over it and report back here how long I think it will take me to install. Depends on how big a job it is.
