A Question about E6 and the SRD

Would it be possible for someone to take the D20 SRD and create a streamlined, stand-alone E6 rule-book? That would be something I'd love to buy, rather than having to use both the E6 booklet and my aging 3.0E books.

I believe it's being done. I mentioned in another thread to the guys working on it they should do a Kickstart to get artwork and maybe pay one of the previous writers to be an editor for the project.

Thanks!

However, what I'd love to see is more than an SRD - a full stand-alone game, sort of a 3E/E6 "retro-clone".

If it's still available, there was a PDF published years ago called "OGL Lite". It only takes characters to level 5, but otherwise might be what you're looking for. It was published by S. T. Cooley Publishing.

I'd love to see something like that, too: a formal publication in the E6 style. Maybe someone somewhere is working on one.

One thing to keep in mind is the upcoming Pathfinder Beginner's Box set. Iirc, it'll only go to 5th level, and of course it's more than just a booklet of rules, but it might be a reasonable proxy for an explicitly E6 ruleset.

(And fwiw, I'm the one that started that E6 SRD thread Spectre666 linked to. It's not finished or formatted, but all the info's available. And I believe a few folks at GitP have E6ified some of the less straightforward aspects of the game (eg, magic items).)

There's also Grittier, by Eridanus Games, that uses the E6 rules alongside some of the other new rules it introduces.

I think this is my first post on enworld, so hello.

A E6 book/booklet is definitely something I would buy, had it been availible in physical book form. Is this Grittier thing adding a lot of rules, or is it just the E6 for Pathfinder?
