A random (music+d&d) thought...

Imagine, if you will, that you walk in a music store, and you see an album named "feats". The track on the album are:

1. Dodge
2. Iron Will
3. Alertness
4. Mobility
5. Trample
6. Far Shot
7. Cleave
8. Run

After you've flipped out on how cool this is, you listen to the album. What is the musical style of the album? What are the songs about? (note that the artist has probably never played D&D)

I'm thinking it's an 80's power rock band. Probably with a synthesizer. Doesn't "Iron Will" sound like it should be playing over an 80s movie training montage?

1. Dodge -- Could be a rap band, or a "Tribute To Chicago" group...
2. Iron Will -- 80s metal revival
3. Alertness -- either old-school grunge or some sort of wistful neo-Alternative
4. Mobility -- definitely a House Music band
5. Trample -- thrash/death metal
6. Far Shot -- this is actually a solo act, masquerading as a band, essentially one guy and his melancholy piano tunes and a good mixing board...
7. Cleave -- see Trample
8. Run -- One part of a rap act? Paul McCartney Tribute?

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts except, Iv'e never heard music by any of the artists... Maybe far shot being something more like evanesence.
