A Simple Errand (DM:renau1g, Judge: covaithe)

[sblock=crag]Regardless of the warden class features, you still get opportunity attacks for enemies moving through your threatened squares. If Crag went to L10, the Mucker and Twitcher 91 would have to move past Crag to get to Jax (assuming he went to N8, which he would). Twitcher 47 would be marked, so he is taken care of as well. But if Crag is at N8 or M8, Jax has to go around to L10 or M10 where the Mucker and Twitcher 91 have no obstacle to him.

Jax does nothing almost nothing for damage unless he's flanking, so I think it's important for him to try getting it (otherwise why is he in the party).

Anyway, it's your call. I'd suggest L10, but please at least shift to M8 if you don't want to potentially take a hit.[/sblock]

[sblock=JAX] No prob, Dekana. And unless Crag is low on HP and there's no available healing in the party, never worry about Crag and Op attacks. He's got enough HP to last a good long while :) I'll edit my post and then you can nail one of those suckers! Good luck! [/sblock]

[sblock=EDIT] I have edited my turn above, moving Crag to L-10, accepting the OA, and marking both the Twitch and the Mucker. I don't think the other Twitch above the rubble can get to JAX right now.[/sblock]

[sblock=crag]Much appreciated! Jax is leaving your side for now after dropping the twitcher, but he should have enough move to get back to you and still attack on the next turn.[/sblock]

Still feigning injury amidst the rubble, Jax hesitates as Crag moves around the Bullywug, drawing its attention. When the frogman's back is completely turned, Jax flies forward with his dagger! The blade tears through the amphibian's backside, but the creature is still standing. Not satisified with that result, Jax slips up to just before the bullywug, reaches his dagger around to its front, and slits its throat. The frogman crumples to the ground.

Jax sees the felled creature and, perhaps instinctively, decides not to stick around by the evidence. He darts away from the battle.

[sblock=JAX] Wow... I don't care HOW much damage that OA deals, Crag, taking the hit for the team was SO worth it! Nicely done with the double-shot to the vital organs! Now I can concentrate on the Mucker and the Twitcher to the North. I may need some help over there in a round or two, but I am going to try to lure them south a bit to make it easier for you to catch up. [/sblock]

[sblock=Jax]Maybe it's perverse, but I'm hoping that one of the frogs breathes on you again, so that Ingot's armor of faith utility is not wasted.

Of course I hope it doesn't hit! Best of all would be if it missed by 1 to 3 points of course. ;)[/sblock]

[sblock=LOL] Yeah, I completely understand that one, ryryguy! It's like Crag hoping that the OA he's about to receive is 5 points of damage or less, or that the enemy only hits AC 21 (thus barely missing me by the addition that my power gives)! We always want our effects to be helpful and meaningful (cause if every enemy misses Crag by 4 or 5... then what's the point in the power?).

On the flip side of your wish, however, I'm hoping that he DOESN'T get breathed on, because that would mean that Crag wasn't doing his job and let froggies get at his new buddy ;) [/sblock]

"What was that!? Stomach Acid? Keep trying rubber head!"

Crag swings his sword in an arc above his head before bringing it down upon the foe in front of him. Once again, a flurry of greenish brown floor slop converges on Crag's form and hardens.

"Thank you Terra. Your servant is pleased that he makes you proud!"

Seeing the other frog-creature getting near, Crag takes a few steps past his initial foe to get in between the two creatures. Calling on Terra, Crag summons a thin ledge of rock, surrounding himself and the two bullywugs.

"Hey, stink breath, you wanna play too?"

Slightly disoriented by the darkness he is now engulfed in Rrek hestitates to answer Ingot.

"I.. No, I need no healing." He says this as he pulls himself into a standing position, feeling a little worse off. Perhaps a broken rib or at least bruised rib.

Summoning his magic once again he brings his sword to a guard position and slashes at the injured Mucker, intent on finishing him off.

His blade strikes true, the rippling thunder once again wounding another foe. The frog-like creature quivers but still lives.

Seeing the shifty kobold escape their muddy grasps, the duo of bullywugs to the north launch themselves at Crag intent on taking out their anger at the loss of their brethren on the warforged. Terra's blessings seem to be on Crag as their blows are absorbed by her blessings.

Rrek is not so fortunate though, as one of the larger frogmen and one of the original members of the ambush stab the gith with their spears, leaving him on the ground unconscious. The remaining creatures now turn their attentions to the fullblade wielding Ingot, but his enchanted plating turns aside their blows as well.

Jax turns a 180 and retraces his steps without even stopping. Out of the corner of his left eye, he catches a glimpse of the heated battle between Rrek's crew and the frogs. However, Crag is offering a perfectly good flanking opportunity! Jax circles around the Mucker and once again lashes out with his dagger.

[sblock=actions]I presume this can occur before Crag's turn. We're on the same initiative count, so a delay doesn't really affect us. Dorn + Ingot's actions shouldn't change Jax's turn, I don't think.

Move: Walk to M7 (by way of Q7, Q8, P9, O9, N8, M7).
Minor: Shifty to L8.
