"Uh, so I'm free to go?" the gnome asks as the group prepares to leave.

"Are you free to go?" Meepo turned, having not noticed the gnome til just then. He spun his dagger in his hand as he advanced toward the remaining enemy. "I guess that all depends on how you answer just one, small, question. Ain't that right, Jax?" Meepo grinned. "On a scale of 1 to 10 how do you rate the taste of kobold flesh."

"What? I ain't never eat nothing that thinked. That dwarf, he's just crazy, but I don't think he's crazy enough to eatcha" the gnome says

Ingot looms over the gnome threateningly. "Who are you people, and what do you want here?" it asks. "Answer, or other! - I mean, or else!" The warforged tries to crack its knuckles but they only emit a feeble creaking sound.

"What? I don't know nuthin' about nobody. I just work for coin, the dwarf was the leader, says we come out here, stand watch while the robes go investigatin' some old ruins. I don't care 'bout this stuff, just the coins. They pay well, them book-types, hey but you already know that dontcha" he says, pointing to Veneficus

 

[Dekana]

Jax grins at the gnome's response. "Don't like lizard-meat, huh? Maybe we don't have to kill you then. But I think you'd make a good hostage! Huzzah, ransom money!" Jax throws up his arms and cheers. Afterwards, he points his dagger at the gnome's back.

"You can lead us into the cave then. The 'robes' already know we're coming, so don't bother shouting. Keep quiet and you won't get hurt."

"Mep! H-h-h-hostage? Thought you were heroes? Ain't right of ya to be taking someone hostage" he exclaims, but by the look of it he would acquiesce to your demands

just having him lead you in as is? So it's gnome, Jax, Crag, Ingot, Meepo, Dorn? [/sblock]

"We are heroes! See him?" Jax points (with the dagger) to Meepo. "That's Meepo the Brave! And over there is Crag the Invincible! You're just evil-gnome-who-attacks-us-unprovoked. So get moving!"

[sblock=ooc]Ah, if there are any enemies in the cave they'll just target Jax anyway. So that order works for me. At least the mages might catch their gnome buddy in their blasts!

On that note, Jax won't hurt the gnome if he takes off. I wouldn't consider taking a hostage to be evil in and of itself, but killing one? Not really something Jax would do (my tiefling on the other hand...)[/sblock]
