A superhero Sunday thoughts

I only recognized two of the voices. One was an imitation of Sean Connery and the other was that wrestler dude (snap into a slim jim)...randy savage? Didn't recognize the other.

I thought he was trying to do Mr. T, but that could be because Capt. Kwanzaa looked like Mr. T.

And I was going to poo-poo running a Superman power-level game, however I was going to do a demo a few years back and I actually put together the TV series Justice League. It took a bit of power tweaking, to make everyone able to play on the same playing field, but I think they turned out pretty well. Instead of making up new characters, everybody could choose a JL team member and we could go from there. Or, I could just set it in the JL cartoon universe and even those who make their own characters could be auxiliary members of the new JL Unlimited team.

Might be a plan, thoughts?

I LIKE that idea. If it is going to be a one-shot, or a rarely played game, I'd rather play a Superhero I know, like Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Batman or J'onn J'onnz.

See, that's how you can tell I'm a superhero gaming geek. I'd rather run my own superhero! Doesn't matter to me, one way or the other. I'm only planning on a one-shot. And the Justice League is as good as any.

The characters I made (which were the members of the original Justice League cartoon):
Superman - Everybody knows Superman, right?
Batman - Ditto.
Flash - Wally West, the fastest man alive.
Wonder Woman - The world is waiting for you. And the powers you possess.
Green Lantern (John Stewart) - Member of the intergalactic police force, the Green Lantern Corps, has a power ring that will create anything he can think of.
Martian Manhunter - Like Superman, the last survivor of an alien race. Strength, flight, invulnerability, telepathy and shapeshifting.
Hawkgirl - Alien policewoman from the planet Thanagar. Flies and has a big mace.

Did you see the Justice League episode with Dr. Fate? They fought Cthulhu, which, of course, was bad for Superman since he is not immune to magic or anything supernatural. Vampires and ghosts often require him to call on Batman for help.

If I were to play long-term, I would want to make up my own hero. Short-term, my preference is to play someone I already know and understand.

Dibs on Green Arrow! But, I'd rather make up my own superhero. I saw we play at least every couple of months if everyone is enjoying it.
