A well-meaning thread that degenerated into "is the OA Samuari historically accurate"

But don't forget that your chance to hit goes down with each iterative attack. The OBI would probably outperform a standard archer fighter against hard-to hit opponents.

True (I assumed that), but it looses out to the fighter nominally against the aformention monster types which are immune to critical hits atleast until epic, because the standard fighter has access to greater weapon specialization and has more feats besides.

EDIT - Also, since it's a standard action to perform a ranged precision attack, an OBI with Shot on the Run would make a great mobile archer.
Unfortunately, like Manyshot, Ranged Precision Attack can't be used with Shot On the Run.

So whats up this these new Tactical and Weapon Style feats? Examples?
Tactical feats = you have to perform a string of actions to set up the feat

Examples (each feat has three manuevers):

1. Combat Brute -- If you destroy an opponent's weapon or shield with a sunder attempt, you gain an additional attack against the foe at the same attack bonus used to sunder.

2. Elusive Target -- Your Dodge opponent cannot get Power Attack bonus damage against you, but he still takes the to hit penalty.

3. Raptor School -- Spend one full round observing your foe. The next attack aginst the foe gains a +2 to attack and damage for every round you spend observing, upt to max of +6.

Weapon Style Feats = using certain weapon(s) gives you benefits

Examples

1. Anvil of Thunder -- (axe/hammer) if you hit an opponent with both, it has to make a Fort save (10 +1/2 PC level +Str mod) or be dazed for 1 rnd.

2. Crescent Moon -- (sword/dagger) if you hit with both, you make an immediate disarm attempt as a free action

3. Spinning Halbred - (halbred) when you make a full attack with your halbred, you gain a +1 dodge AC and get an extra attack at -5 penalty that deals damage 1d6+1/2 Str mod

Can you give specific details about how the new Samurai works and how his progression looks like (with description of his features...)
Samurai's dual wield a masterwork bastard sword (one-handed, they get EWP for free) and a masterwork short sword. As they progress in levels they get Two-Weapon fighting at 2nd, Improved at 11th, and Greater at 16th.

Kai Smite 1/day at 3rd and every 4th level afterwards. As a free action can add Cha mod to dmg and attack roll for next attack.

Quickdraw for free at 5th.

Gets +4 to Intimidate at 6th, can intimidate in a 30 ft radius as a std action at 10th, can generate the equivalent of dragon fear at 20th level.

Improved Init for free at 8th.

d10 hp, Figher BAB/saves, 2+Skill points/level, Proficient with all weapons and armor but not shields. Alignment: any lawful
