About Old Storytellers or a Game of Campfire Lore is a new, FREE table top RPG. The setting of which centers on four elements: a forgotten North American republic, lumberjacks, a secret society and an "invisible world." Players are charged with the task of driving out tall tale creatures and figures from campfire legends to save the frontier.
The game contains snallygasters, hodags, agropelters, hoop snakes and other creatures from American folklore. As well, prominent figures from urban legends, such as Bloody Mary, the Jersey Devil, The Hook, La Llorona, Chupacabras, etc
Character sheets come with suggestions for antiquated swearing. The game is billed as a "A Make Your Own Adventure Game" and stylized in the manner of 1980s video game manuals.
