Your promo spot kicks all sorts of awesome, too!

Your ideas intrigue me and I would like to hear more. ;)

Rob wrote that one, and I ended up doing all the voice work. My wife laughed pretty hard listening--not due to the content, simply listening to me displaying multiple personality syndrome. It's the GM in me.

Preston DuBose of 12 to Midnight really helped get things rolling with the feature. We were thrilled he could join us for our Hallowe'en treat.
I was excited to be a part of it. Thanks for letting me play in your sandbox. Any time you need someone in the hot seat, just give me a shout.

Have just listened to all three podisodes (?) and enjoyed them all! Contrary to a few others here I think I prefer the rules-lite approach you're taking. You have some interesting things to say on finding inspiration in modern media and that's what makes your show more intriguing than most. If I was to be looking for something you don't seem to do much of, it's advice on actually *running* the various modern genres you're talking about: what makes a campaign tick, what makes it work, what tricks should the GM use, what should the players bring to the table to enhance the game.

Keep it up! :)

Actually, a lot of our upcoming episodes are looking at actually applying stuff. It looks like the next episode is going to be about "explaining the weirdness," as in if you've got magic in your modern, how does one explain that? One of the other topics we are looking at doing is group cohesion--as in creating a PC group that not only has a good reason to be together, but one that works well together. We will likely get into nuts & bolts topics as well, but we aren't good at planning more than one episode in advance.

Episode 004, Magic and Monsters in Modern Games: Justifying The Weirdness.

In which we justify the weirdness, . . . and offend more people.

OK I listened and laughed. Finally made a decision to purchase the Global Frequency TPB because of the show (Since I have a "review copy" of the pilot, It is nice to see how Hollywood messed it up). Heard a refence to one of my all time favorite sci-fi movies (Them) and got to hear my name mentioned on the show. All in all, an enjoyable podcast.

Here is a request for a show topic, talk about differne genre of modern gaming (miliarty/espionage/crime) besides horror and something with magic (I can't stand magic in my modern game, but super science that is another thing).

JonRog here on the boards was the writer and (I believe) producer of that pilot. I have faith he did justice to Warren Ellis' work.

Now if we can only get a NextWAVE, Agents of H.A.T.E. media project (movie, TV series, radio serial, I don't care!) going, I would be a happy (slightly warped) camper.

And for those who like zombies, Mr. Ellis is working on the Avatar Press comic Black Gas, which does not take place after a chili, sausage, and beer feast (that would be back gas, also known as the Chris Groff special).

As the Machine Gun Sentry Robot would say: "Kahm-sah-hahm-ni-da." And then . . . perfect head shot!

I like that idea. Our attempt at a military genre episode was sabotaged by Power Grammo (don't worry, it paid the price!), but I think I'd like to do more. I'll add it to the topics list. I'm big into no-FX games (though right now I'm hankering for super-spies a la SHIELD, ergo Line Zero) so I'd be happy to discuss non-FX genres.

I liked the Global Frequency TV pilot though it was VERY different from the comic. Any TV show with Michelle Forbes as an ass-kicking super spy is fine with me.

And Fraser, if you are in the mood for super-spies, you should let me send you Blood and Secrets so you can talk about it on the show sometime *weg*
