Accidental Survivors: the Modern Gaming Podcast

I gave the first two a listen in the car. Sounds pretty good. The levels got better in episode 2, so that's good. First one, at least for me, one guy would be distorting out the speakers and the next I could barely hear.

My only complaint would be that I'd like a little ... differentiation ... for the commercial spots. To be honest, alot of y'all doing podcasts sound about the same after you get run through the computer and turned into an MP3, so I'd be listening to a commercial spot saying: "This is ... off topic." before I 'got' that it was a commercial break. Even a: "And now a word from our sponsers" and a "we're back".

Content so-far is good. Are you planning to have guests on via Skype or whatever rather often or is Roudi going to become a permanent cast member?

I'd like to see a little more d20Modern-specific conversation, including rules discussions and the like. Seems to be mostly talking about non-rules game-inspiration elements so far. I like to see what people think of things under the hood, so to speak.

Keep it up.

Hey All

2.5 is indeed out, but if you have not yet listened to ASP yet, please don't let this one be your first taste. It's a fractured mess because I was trying to salvage what had been a great session with lots of good ideas. We're looking into new software and new means of contact in order to ensure this will not happen again.

As for d20 Modern rules discussion specifically, we had hoped to make a generic podcast simply because there are many popular rules systems out there, and we hoped our podcast would be helpful for any modern campaign. When mechanics are discussed, it is invariably d20 Modern because that's what we play most often and can comment on.

Thanks to everyone who's listening. Since it's been mentioned, I think I'm going to suggest doing a "d20 Modern" episode to talk about our takes on the rules. If you would like to suggest any other topics, please feel free.

Take care all!

Thanks Roger. I had submitted the news and was coming around to resurrect this thread. And Thanks Chuck for the kind words. Preston DuBose of 12 to Midnight really helped get things rolling with the feature. We were thrilled he could join us for our Hallowe'en treat.

Thank you very much, sir! Here's hoping we continue to evoke praise. The list of topics we're planning on covering is growing, and I'm looking forward to giving my two bits on all of them.

Cheers!
