Acid Fog spell says that : " the fog deals 2d6 points of acid damage to each creature and OBJECT within it"

So when a character or monster is affected by an acid fog spell all of the items he is carrying with him/her will take 2d6 acid dmg??
(surely items in bags, backpacks are not affected until their coverings are melted by the acid fog)

Standard rules are that objects possessed by creatures are not affected by spells which affect the creature.

It's just easier that way (otherwise you'll have to roll about 50 times for every spell, and then readjust encumbrance every time one is cast, and then go back to town to restock each time etc).
