Adjusting the size bonus for small characters

Personally, I think the size bonus to AC seems a little on the weak side, especially considering larger creatures get a lot of natural armor, and other bonuses.

So I was thinking of changing the size bonus to +2 to AC for small, +4 to tiny, and +6 to fine. THe attack bonus would stay the same.

A good example was the yoda fight in SW2. Hitting a small target is very very hard.

What do you guys think?

The way the stats are listed for the small sized PC races, it makes them strong choices for spellcasters once they find a faster means to move about.

Although goblins are small... they move as fast as medium-sized folk do.

The small dudes really don't need this kind of help.

Yoda is old... and although I am not an expert on Star Wars, I believe that most of his speed and strength was being derived from the force itself.

I would be curious to know more about Yoda's abilities, if anyone out there does know more about them.

The biggest problems with small folk are the carrying capacities, and the unarmed damage. A small character can dish and take just as well as anyone else, but they simply can't carry as much (which is confusing, i mean, they could have the exact same strength, but only carry half as much?). Also, there's _very_ little motivation for a small character to be a monk, as it basically acts to hold the character back an effective two levels. Kinda removes the old cliche of the tiny spry martial master.

Well I agree with you. If anyone has played SWRPG (or even looked it over for more than a few minutes) will notice the feats and skills that a Jedi Knight can use. Battlemind (adds up to a +10 to attacks for a few rounds), Master Mind (I think - adds up to a +10 to str or dex) are the most noteable (and relevant). And of course anyone who's seen Star Wars has seen how fast Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon run from those Droidekas in Episode 1. Now just think of what a Jedi that's been training for probably 700+ years could do.
