[ADULT - Medical Update] Angelsboi Q & A

If any of us would like to make a donation in your name to an AIDS charity, which organization would you prefer we make the check out to?

(Ryan, I thought of emailing this question to you, but then I thought someone else might be thinking along the same lines as me, and it would be useful to make that info public.)

First, Id like to thank you ever bought me a membership or the title. I had emailed Mo'Russ about it and never got a response. I guess I have earned my wings finally.

Second, My meds are starting to make me a little sick. I almost threw up and my stomach is queasy. Ill give it a couple days though. I dont know if this batch will work but we'll see. I know there are rare cases where some AIDS patients cant take meds. I hope im not one of them. Not to mention my nose is runny and Ive been sneezing. Lets hope I dont have a cold.

Second, I have a question. I thought HIV had a long incubation period, especially in industrialized nations like the US, where they have to be to keep spreading. So the question is, are you sure it happened in December? It just seems like a very fast progression.

It was very quick. I used to go out and do ecstacy like every other weekend. Thats not healthy. Stress and worry (as I always do, kills T Cells. Im one of the rare exceptions.

Also, if the medicines work, wouldn't that significantly extend your timeline? If they can get and keep your T Cells up, why couldn't you be here indefinitely?

It would. My family has a bad medical history and I do too. I had viral menengitis when I was a kid and have been in and out of hospitals growing up.

Absolute Wellness

Its a place I go to almost everyday. I get free psychology, hypnotherapy, Reiki, Gym and personal trainer, Acupuncture, etc. All free. These people work off of donations and even give free medical to those who dont have insurance.

These people are *my* Angels!

Once again, thank you to whomever gave me the title. It means so much to me.

I dont have HIV. I have full blown AIDS. Its ok. Im strong and I will fight this. I just hope to be a community supporter by then LOL. And for hong, it wasnt 10 bucks, its 35. Im not working so its kinda hard right now. Especially living with your ex and hes taking care of you.

Man Ryan, I am so sorry to hear that. If I remember right, you're in your early 20's right now. When I was that age I hadn't even figured out the value of my life. Its always appeared as though you've had a handle on that, but I am so sorry that this has to happen to you now.

Fight hard! We're pulling for you.

I know this isn't much, but it was made with you in mind. Attached is a Half-Celestial/Human Cleric named Ryhan that some people call Angel's Boy.

I hope your health improves, and that you become an active member here once again. :)

Glad to hear you're still fighting, man.

Haven't posted much on these updates of yours because I really don't know what to say. Figured I'd at least let you know that I'm still pulling for you.

Your attitude through all this has been great. Open, honest, and generally positive -- at least from where I'm sitting. Now, your assignment: Be well enough to attend GenCon next summer so I can shake your hand and tell you in person how great you're doing.

The mind is a powerful thing. Even when the body is fighting and sick, keeping a good outlook is key.

I have seen this in humans and animals with terminal illnesses. I used to study animals who had cancer and it's amazing how much longer they can go because they don't think about the illness, they just live.

Two of my ferrets with cancer outlived the average lifespan for a ferret. I swear it's ALL in the outlook. Just live and think positive thoughts.

You can make it. We are all here for you.

Angelsboi,

I'm diabetic (Type 1) and I'm walking in the "Walk for the Cure" this coming weekend. I've asked all the folks who are going to be sponsoring me to donate everything above $10 to Absolute Wellness instead.

This is probably not going to add up to a tremendous amount of money, but I hope it helps them keep providing services to you and people like you. It seems a small thing but it helps me feel like I'm doing something and I hate feeling helpless.

I hope that they find a cure for diabetes in the not-so-distant future too, but I'm able to live with my disease without it hampering my lifestyle too much (with the exception that I can't eat nearly as many Krispy Kreme donuts as I'd like). If I could contribute to curing one disease, diabetes wouldn't be it.

Hang in there man.

Just letting you know I am still keeping "tabs" on you and that I wish you the best. I don't live all that far from you and I go to the 6 Flags in Atlanta a couple of times per year. I am thinking of going there this week, for the 3rd time this summer.

Take care and keep fighting. You can beat the odds. I have done it a couple of times. The first time was a 93% chance of death, the second was 3 in 10,000 survive. Obviously, I was one of the 3. I have also beaten a half dozen 50/50 situations, most of them a result of the 93% episode of my life.

You never know if you are going to be one of the miracles until you are in the free and clear. Keep praying, you never know what is in store for you. Do not give up, ever.
