Raiyek follows closely behind Hadrak. "And pray that Estergrin didn't put traps in his secret passage. Best we stay on our toes."[sblock=OOC]Well, there were a few things in the room that could've represented the spirit or the mind, depending on your point of view. There was a little luck involved in my guess ;)[/sblock]

Dane gives a thumbs up with a wink & a smile behind his bushy dwarven beard and eyebrows. The dwarf will make his way toward the passage, taking the lead if Hadrak wishes him to do so.

[sblock=OOC] I don't think it was that easy, took us 2 pages to figure it out. [/sblock]

The group enter the staircase and climb up to the upper room. The secret room is a study.

The floor is plain and mostly empty with one end raised slightly, like a stage. There a inner balcony that circles the room with one ladder leading up. A sliding windows, which is oriented toward the north along the balcony, is the only windows, and little light come from it. A few pale blue orbs light the room.

There are some bookshelves all around the balcony, as there is all along the wall on the ground level. Journals and arcane maps and diagrams as well as a few minor ritual components have been left on the tables on the floor levels.

"Looks like it's time to hit the books again. We should get started." Raiyek climbs the ladder and helps as much as he can, again looking for Estergrin's personal notes or anything that could be related to the barriers around Daunton.

Incarnation follows without comment. Seeing the books and oddities, his eyes flare purple once more, detecting magical flows, before moving on.

Georg climbs up on the stage and starts to inspect the ritual components. There is a large variety and cannot figure only by inspection what Estergrin was doing with them. But he recognizes a few crystals that are generally use as focus to read foreign languages. A journal is open next to the component and only a page is written, the second page being blank. The notes written on the open page is dated and speak about recent visit in Daunton.

Raiyek climbs up and start to walk around the balcony. He finds lots of book and scrolls of general knowledge. Most are in Tsugo, but there is a few that are in different languages, a few in Allarian and Elven, others in language the elf cannot identify. They are cleanly organized in theme. He find a section where many elven scroll and book are. They talk about the feywild.

Incarnation identifies, among the few bookshelves on the floor level, arcane books and personal notes. Among them, a few of them talk about runes, glyph and sigil.

-''Well, books about glyo, sigils and stuff. That's the ticket, right? We gotta shut down them gates.''

Hadrak peruses the personal notes because, really, that's the only text he's likely to understand.

Just an FYI - Evo asked me to pass along a message that he's taking a break right now. He'll be back, so don't kill him off, but it'll be likely a few months so feel free to write him out [/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]Ok, at the light of that information, Rudrev is not with you at the moment. He has gone to the Archive to look for something.[/SBLOCK]

Hadrak looks at book containing the personal notes laying on the table and he sees many notes on many research. Most of them are in Tsugo, but a few are in other language. Among them, he sees some common and some dwarven. The notes in common seems to resume some correspondence between Master Estergrin and Mauros but the notes in dwarven seems related to runic rituals used by the dwarves.

As he continue to read, he fall on a folded paper. On the paper is written a single sentence with a different hand-writing and is written in common. There is also a hole on the paper, as if a stiletto had passed through the paper. The sentence tells:

The elf draws, the dwarf speaks, the genasi gives and the dragonborn keeps.

Over two third of the book is filled, but the remaining pages are empty. The last page of the book seems to have been ripped off. On the inside side of the back-cover, there is a map of Valhyr. The map is well drawn with the main river and many dots must show the main interest place, but no name identify those place. The only reason Hadrak can tell it is Valhyr it is because the name of the continent have been written on it. The name have been written with the same hand writing than the folded note.
