Pathfinder 1E Advanced Races: Heroes and Villains

So the Advanced Races book expands on 20 new and old races, everything from the drow, gearforged, lizardfolk, minotaurs, tieflings, and the aasimar to the more.... fringey... things like the lamia, ravenfolk, and the derro.

The Kickstarter for it ends in about 24 hours, this Sunday. Designers include a slew of Pathfinder folks including Paizo staffers and RPG Superstar winners.

Is it tied to the Midgard setting? I don't have much time lately and don't know much about this particular book.

Good question. The Advanced Races Compendium is usable in any campaign where you have tieflings, lizardfolk, drow, minotaurs, kobolds, kitsune, etc.

You get some Midgard-specific material in the sidebars and flavor elements, though it won't have a Midgard logo. I imagine a lot of people will use the generic versions of Midgard races, such as gearforged, werelions, ravenfolk, and trollkin in their own homebrew games or other settings--they're pure high fantasy.
