The groups searches the body of the wizard, his robes appear to be made of the finest silks, it even sheds some tiny light as its touched, and a pair of blue potions in his belt. Beyond that there's not too much else, except the ale. Billar takes you through a hidden passage that he tells you was used by the wizard to escape unseen, a boon to your current situation. You come to a door, which is barred on the inside with a massive steel beam. Billar slides the bar across and then gestures for them to escape into the night. The exit is outside the walls so there are no problems getting away.
"So I trust our inspection passed...Jessica" Billar says with a knowing wink at the Tiefling.
"Too bad the real inspectors aren't as effective as you." he adds, before shutting the door and you hear the grinding of the large beam being put back into place.
After dropping Morko's body off with the Lauto priests you return towards the Inner Bay that houses
Le Faisan d'Or. You arrive without incident and once you knock on the door, your patron answers, his face anxious.
"Do you have it? Wait, weren't there five of you before? Ah no matter, more for the rest of you I suppose" Georges says, gesturing you inside.
He once again serves a fairly fancy meal, although the decadence is toned down from his last offering. He listens intently to your tale and then smiles at the end of it, taking the container, opening the seal and checking inside.
"Ahhh...nice, a bit smaller than I'd like, but it will do. I appreciate your efforts and have managed to secure some top-quality items in return for your assistance. Unfortunately, my contacts were not able to acquire enough for all of you, but I have two items that should be of interest" Georges says, beckoning for you to follow him into the storage area. He sets the container down and then removes a tablecloth covering a set of full plate mail, in a style that shows it was likely of Jadite make. He then removes a second tablecloth to reveal a huge spear, about half again as tall as the chef, with a very broad head and the shaft is made of darkwood, a light, but extremely strong wood.
"I hope they serve you well on your endaevours, but fret not I haven't forgotten the monetary compensation I have promised. There is even a bit more to help compensate for your lost ally. " he says, handing over a small lockbox, which is filled with gold pieces.
"So I fear that time is not on our side, but you will likely need to rest up I would imagine, maybe the Hanged Man can put you up for the night? Tell them to open up a tab under my name, I will cover your costs, presuming you wish to continue?"
