[Adventure] A Chef's Request (DM:renau1g; judge: covaithe)

OOC: Well, if you intend to move away, no point in me waiting for you to get back up! I am not getting a flank anyway and as you can see, it didn't matter.

Ghorgor keeps struggling against the dragonborn. He just now starts to worry that this might be his last fight.

-''Ghorgor wish he was wearing his top hat...'' he mumbles under his breath.

[sblock=Correction]Fissure can't move out of the way; can't move when prone other than to stand. So, he's still in the blast if healed.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I'll be honest--I'm at a loss of what to do. At 10hp, Willow is likely dead if she's caught in the blast. Being the only source of healing atm, that's no good for anyone.

I honestly considered trying to convince Ghorgor to flee with her. If anyone has read Willow's backstory, you'll know that she's run from death before, and that's what's made her the somewhat tragic character that she is. She hates herself for it now, and doing it again has the potential to add a lot of depth to the character.

That being said, running isn't going to do anyone any favors--except Willow and Ghorgor. I'm perfectly willing to leave it up to a vote.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Since I can't attack/jump, then attacking is all Fissure would do. If Big F dies, he dies. I've talked to r1 about that contingency. Can't speak for the others.

Remember, we only need a ghoul. Though picking one up might take more actions then one can afford right now. [/sblock]

OOC: Ghorgor ain't a fanatic. I am okay with fleeing.

My DPR is 5.25. (50% chance of hitting with 1d10+5 dmg). So on average it would take me 8-9 rounds to drop DP... and then there is the ghoul.

If I had gotten lucky and landed my last 2 attacks with decent damage (say 25 dmg over the last two rounds), then who knows... But that didn't pan out.

In fact, by continuing the fight we pretty much guarantee most of our friend die even if we win! There is no way they make all those death rolls. But who knows what happens if we flee? Maybe they get immediately eaten by ghouls, but maybe they are kept alive for nefarious purpose by DB (Ransom, sacrifice, weird experiment, executed later in an entertaining fashion etc.) which allows a chance to rescue them.

Frankly, I should have waited for Willow to act before attacking, because if she shouts 'Get out of here!', Ghorgor runs. I didn't want to do it while willow is still standing. At any rate, I ain't going down just now and I still got my AP and my Endure Pain Power so I can hustle the hell out of here (Triple Run, that's 21 sqare, trust endure pain that soak up the dmg)

OOC: How about this; Willow is an elf and can move 7 square, right? So she moves next to a fallen ghoul (i.e. F13), snatch what we need as a minor action, runs out of area blast.

Ghorgor follows next round.

If I take any dmg, I activate Endure pain (my utility power, a skill power based on endurance, immediate interrupt triggered by being hit) to gain resist 10 until the end of my next round. Then I triple run out of here (with endure pain still active for OA)

PS: Yes, I chose an utility that allows Ghorgor to soak up MORE damage. Sensing a pattern yet?

OOC: Willow is wild shaped right now, so it'll cost her a minor to shape back; I don't think she'd be able to pick anything up in her swarm form. After a double move to GTFO, I don't think she'll have the actions left to dismember the ghoul, or even to drag it through the portal with her.

Surely you all realize this is all my fault for killing off r1's character in one of my games? ;)

OOC: I'm ok if Nejs dies. It is a game and it happens. If we keep the players of the group maybe someone can switch roles with me? I'm currently playing only leaders in the living games ;). BTW, if the one who revived Nejy would have done it in Nejs' square, he would have be allowed to stand up to 1 sq down and had been able to use his daily vs the Dragonborn. Also Nejy is dying because of J'irys blast (did it just after Nejs revived him), so don't worry r1g ;)

Don't take all the credit, stonegod also killed off one of my PC's... my evil DM brain was abuzz when I got both of you in one game together

In all seriousness, I think I overestimated the damage output from you guys, especially having two controllers, a low-damage defender (compared to say a fighter), and a level 1 PC. In future Chef adventures I likely won't make any n+4 encounters (although this one straddled n+3 or n+4). They drag way too much. [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Maybe Ghorgor can pick up a ghoul on his way out if Willow can't.

Failed Save #2[/sblock]The fallen goliath's blood bleeds faster now, the Stone refusing to aide its fallen brother.
