The group is given their directions to the drow's mansion on the Inner Bay of Daunton. A snooty halfling seneschal gives the group a bit of a hard time as he stares up and down the motley group, his eyes lingering over the undead giant, the gnoll, and the garishly dressed goliath.
"I just hope you aren't the new trend in Dauntonian fashion" he mutters as he leads you to a sitting area.
A servant, a drow female, comes by and offers a glass of spiderblood wine to those interested, water to those not. Any who partake in the grey wine find the drink highly acidic.

The wine is made from mushrooms and spider venom.[/sblock]
After about ten minutes a male drow enters the room, he looks young, but with his race, it is anyone's guess his exact age.

"Greetings, I am Lord Daevion'lyr. Georges sent ahead to tell me a bit about you. I hear you and yours met with a bit of trouble on your last excursion for our resident chef. That is regrettable, but I fear that I can offer little assurance that the task I ask of you won't bring you into harm's way. As Georges no doubt told you, my son, Illivair, was abducted whilst out on a fishing excursion past the Outer Bay. The guards were found dead in the ship and my son was nowhere to be found. I have had a diviner attempt to locate him, but his piwawfi, his cloak, blocks most of the detection spell. However, they did pick up a trace of him deep, deep within Daunton. They estimate he may be in The Depthworld." he pauses there and lets that sink in.

Very little concrete information exists regarding the depthworld. Most residents relegate it to the stuff of childrens tales and nightmares. Experts residing on the various isles maintain that there is a huge network of interconnected caves that run beneath the shifting seas, connecting to the isles in ways both mundane and magical.

Some even theorize that Daunton has remained at the focal point of the transitive isles for so long because of a physical connection to the depthworld that holds it in place. However the only thing that can be said for certain is that The Depthworld, if it exists, is a place of danger and strange alien sights unlike the surface world.[/sblock][/sblock]
"So, as you can likely surmise I would like to hire you to locate my son, if the kidnappers entered this Depthworld, then there must be an entrance somewhere. Based on the evidence at the ship we expect that kuo-toa were involved, whether they were they knew the nature of my son, or if it was circumstance, I am unsure. If you can do this I would be extremely grateful, and in addition will offer some gold rewards and something that you will likely find useful, as well as offering any aide in locating the remaining ingredients" he says after a few moments.
